Catches on a cold day

Note that even Lou Mintzer can catch the nice Spotted Bass when fishing with me in the cold weather. We got 5 that day and lost a couple. Keep on fishin.

Upcoming Appearances

Jake has moved his monthly lectures to the Mooresville Volunteer Fire House on Brawley School Road in Mooresville. These new sessions have been moved to the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm. If traveling on I77 take exit 35 and proceed west about 6 miles. The fire house is on the right.

Jakes latest book 'Fishing Different" has been awarded the silver medal by the Non-fiction Authors Association. This award is for excellence in composition and content.

Jake is now a regular writer for The Angler magazine.

This publication can be picked up at most sporting goods stores and is free. Jake will be features in a five part series about sonar fish finders. The Angler normally is on the news stands around the first of each month.

Jake is also a regular writer for ODU (Outdoors Unlimited) magazine which is published on the internet each month. The next issue will feature an article about Jake's recent fishing activities at the outer banks of North Carolina. The magazine can be read at www.outdoorsunlimited.com
